A bill for an act
relating to liquor; clarifying certain on-sale restrictions; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2004, section 340A.504, subdivision 6.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 340A.504, subdivision 6, is amended to
read:


Subd. 6.

Municipalities may limit hours.

A municipality may further limit the
hours of deleted text begin saledeleted text end new text begin on and off sales new text end of alcoholic beverages, provided that further restricted
new text begin on-sale new text end hoursnew text begin for intoxicating liquornew text end must apply equally to deleted text begin salesdeleted text end new text begin on-sale hoursnew text end of 3.2
percent malt liquordeleted text begin and intoxicating liquordeleted text end . A city may not permit the sale of alcoholic
beverages during hours when the sale is prohibited by this section.
