A bill for an act
relating to tax increment financing; authorizing
certain cities to act as small cities for purposes of
use of revenues from certain economic development
districts.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICTS.

new text begin Authorization. new text end

new text begin Notwithstanding the
mileage limitation in Minnesota Statutes, section 469.174,
subdivision 27, the cities of Elgin, Eyota, Byron, and Oronoco
are deemed to be small cities for purposes of Minnesota
Statutes, sections 469.174 to 469.1799, as long as they do not
exceed the population limit in that section.
