A bill for an act
relating to counties; allowing a county law library to transfer money to the county
for certain construction costs; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 134A.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

If a county law library, through its trustees, has a fiscal reserve that is projected to sustain
its operations for a period of over five years, the county law library may transfer up to half
of the money in its fiscal reserve, but not to exceed $200,000, to the county in which the
library is located to defray costs of constructing a new building to house the law library and
courts.
