A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a community multicultural
center in the city of St. Paul.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ACEDONE.

new text begin $6,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to African Community Economic
Development of New England (ACEDONE) to acquire property for, predesign, design,
construct, furnish, and equip a community multicultural center at 315 University Avenue
West in the city of St. Paul to provide space for nonprofit organizations that specialize in
connecting refugee and immigrant communities with local services. This appropriation is
onetime and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota
Statutes, section 16A.642.
