A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a grant to the Organization
of Liberians in Minnesota.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; THE ORGANIZATION OF LIBERIANS IN
MINNESOTA.

new text begin $400,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Organization of Liberians in
Minnesota (OLM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for the renovation, construction,
furnishing, and equipping of their current community center in Brooklyn Park to provide
culturally appropriate programs and services to meet the diverse needs of community
members in the northwest suburbs. This appropriation is available until the project is
completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642. This is a onetime
appropriation.
