A bill for an act
relating to state government; appropriating money to address disparities experienced
by Asian Minnesotans.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; COALITION OF ASIAN AMERICAN LEADERS.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Coalition of Asian American
Leaders to address the impact of incidents of bias on Asian Minnesotan individuals, small
business owners, and nonprofit organizations and to provide outreach and technical assistance
to Asian Minnesotan individuals and small business owners and nonprofit organizations
with fewer than ten employees to navigate state programs and grants related to health and
economic recovery challenges that have occurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is a onetime appropriation and is available until December 30, 2025.
