  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxes; sales and use; exempting poultry 
  1.3             feed; amending Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 
  1.4             297A.25, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 297A.25, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 84.  [FEED FOR POULTRY RAISED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.] 
  1.9   The gross receipts from the sale of, and storage, use, or 
  1.10  consumption of poultry feed is exempt if the poultry is raised 
  1.11  for human consumption. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective for sales and purchases made after 
  1.14  June 30, 2000.
