A bill for an act
relating to human services; establishing a state health care outreach incentive
program for licensed producers; appropriating money; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2007 Supplement, section 256.962, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2007 Supplement, section 256.962, is amended by
adding a subdivision to read:

new text begin Effective January 1,
2009, the commissioner shall establish an incentive program for licensed producers
under chapter 60K who directly identify and assist potential enrollees in filling out
and submitting an application. For each applicant who is successfully enrolled in
MinnesotaCare, medical assistance, or general assistance medical care, the commissioner
shall pay the producer a $50 application assistance bonus.

human services for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009, to establish an incentive program
for licensed producers under section 1.
