A bill for an act
relating to consumer protection; banning the sale and distribution of certain
products containing lead; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 325E.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

CONTAINING LEAD.

new text begin A person may not sell, offer for sale, or distribute free of charge in this state a toy, a
game, jewelry, clothing, or wearing apparel that contains lead in an amount sufficient to
elevate blood lead levels if consumed, as determined by the commissioner of health.
