  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money to 
  1.3             independent school district Nos. 595, East Grand 
  1.4             Forks, and 2854, Ada-Borup, for interest paid on flood 
  1.5             loans. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND 
  1.9   LEARNING.] The sums indicated in this section are appropriated 
  1.10  from the general fund to the department of children, families, 
  1.11  and learning for the fiscal year designated. 
  1.12     Subd. 2.  [INTEREST ON FLOOD LOANS.] For interest paid on 
  1.13  flood loans: 
  1.14       $861,000     .....     2000
  1.15     Of this amount, $761,000 is for independent school district 
  1.16  No. 595, East Grand Forks, and $100,000 is for independent 
  1.17  school district No. 2854, Ada-Borup. 
  1.18     This appropriation is available until June 30, 2001. 
  1.19     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
