A bill for an act
relating to transportation; modifying definition of travel trailer to include tiny
houses; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 168.002, subdivision 36.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 168.002, subdivision 36, is amended to read:
Subd. 36.
Travel trailer.
"Travel trailer" means a trailer, mounted on wheelsdeleted text begin ,deleted text end thatnew text begin does
not require a special highway movement permit based on its size or weight when towed by
a motor vehicle; complies with sections 169.80, subdivision 2, and 169.81, subdivision 2;

(1) is designed to provide temporary living quarters during recreation, camping, or travel;new text begin
