  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education finance; authorizing a grant to 
  1.3             independent school district No. 404, Lake Benton; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; LAKE BENTON.] 
  1.7      $85,000 in fiscal year 2001 is appropriated from the 
  1.8   general fund to the department of children, families, and 
  1.9   learning for independent school district No. 404, Lake Benton, 
  1.10  to reimburse the district for a fund balance penalty paid by the 
  1.11  district for the 1991-1992 and 1992-1993 school years due to 
  1.12  incorrect pupil unit calculations. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
