  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [FUND TRANSFER; INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 
  1.7   2170, STAPLES-MOTLEY.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 123B.79; 
  1.9   123B.80; and 475.61, subdivision 4, on May 31, 2000, independent 
  1.10  school district No. 2170, Staples-Motley, may permanently 
  1.11  transfer up to $71,000 from the debt service account of the 
  1.12  former independent school district No. 483, Motley, to 
  1.13  independent school district No. 2170, Staples-Motley's, 
  1.14  operating capital fund. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
