  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to water; limiting water appropriation 
  1.3             permits for animal feedlots. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [WATER APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      The commissioner of natural resources may not require a 
  1.7   permit for appropriation of water for animal feedlot purposes 
  1.8   from a user withdrawing less than 10,000 gallons per day and 
  1.9   totaling no more than 10,000,000 gallons per year. 
  1.10     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.11  following final enactment.
