A bill for an act
 relating to child care; allowing day care providers to use an alternative to chlorine
bleach as a disinfectant in a diaper changing area; amending Minnesota Statutes
2004, section 245A.14, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 245A.14, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin This subdivision governs diaper
changing areas in family day care or group family day care homes licensed under this
chapter and Minnesota Rules, chapter 9502. Day care providers may use a chlorine bleach
for disinfecting diaper changing areas or an alternative disinfecting agent that is a broad
spectrum virucidal disinfectant.
