  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $75,000 is appropriated from the environmental fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of the pollution control agency for a grant to the 
  1.8   city of Adams for subsurface investigation, monitoring well 
  1.9   installation, groundwater sampling and analysis, and data 
  1.10  reporting in conjunction with possible contamination from a 
  1.11  former municipal coal gasification plant.
