relating to open meetings; requiring open meetings to be recorded and made
available to the general public; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota
Statutes, chapter 13D.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin Any meeting required by section 13D.01 to be open to the public, including meetings
conducted by telephone or by other electronic means under section 13D.021, must be
recorded by the public body conducting the meeting in either an audio or video recording.
The public body must make the recording available to the general public, provide facilities
for listening or viewing the recording, and keep the recording on file for at least three
years from the date of the meeting.
