A bill for an act
 relating to veterans; amending an effective date related to the Veterans Preference
Act; amending Laws 2009, chapter 94, article 3, section 14.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Laws 2009, chapter 94, article 3, section 14, the effective date, is amended
to read:


EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective July 1, 2009deleted text begin , and applies to
appointments to state and local government positions of employment made on or after
that datedeleted text end .
