  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to transportation; prescribing limitation on 
  1.3             establishing recreational vehicle trail or bikeway. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [BIKEWAY OR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE TRAIL 
  1.6   LIMITATION.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 160.263, or 
  1.8   any other law to the contrary, any rail corridor or former rail 
  1.9   corridor located in the city of Minnetonka Beach may not be 
  1.10  designated by any state agency or other political subdivision as 
  1.11  any type of bikeway, recreational path, or recreational vehicle 
  1.12  trail without the express consent of the Minnetonka Beach city 
  1.13  council. 
  1.14     (b) Nothing in this section prohibits the establishment of 
  1.15  a bikeway, recreational path, or recreational vehicle trail in 
  1.16  other communities along the rail corridor.
