  1.1                          A bill for an act

  1.6             1998, section 116D.04, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 116D.04, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 14.  [OUTDOOR SPORTS OR ENTERTAINMENT FACILITY 
  1.11  THRESHOLD.] An environmental impact statement is required for an 
  1.12  outdoor sports or entertainment facility expected to accommodate 
  1.13  a peak attendance of 10,000 or more persons. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day after its final enactment.
