A bill for an act
relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for purchasing Wizard
of Oz ruby slippers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; PURCHASING RUBY SLIPPERS.

$...... in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the arts and cultural heritage fund to the
governing board of the Minnesota Historical Society to purchase the Wizard of Oz ruby
slippers. After the ruby slippers are purchased, they must be publicly displayed. The
Minnesota Historical Society may lease or loan the ruby slippers to the Judy Garland
Children's Museum in the city of Grand Rapids.
