A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for flood hazard mitigation
projects in the city of Sartell.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SARTELL; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $7,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of natural resources for a grant to the city of Sartell for flood hazard mitigation projects,
which may include the design and construction of an open channel ditch and high capacity
box culvert, replacement of other existing culverts, an outlet to Baker's Lake, and the
completion of additional capital improvements necessary for flood hazard mitigation within
the North Central Watab Watershed. This appropriation includes money for easement
acquisition and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota
Statutes, section 16A.642.
