Education and Resource, Inc.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin AFRICAN CAREER EDUCATION AND RESOURCE, INC.;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $4,919,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to African Career Education and
Resource, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to acquire, predesign, design, and renovate
a building in Brooklyn Center that will support business development, business incubation,
entrepreneurship, and workforce development in the Black community and in other
communities of color. This appropriation is available until the project is completed or
abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642. This is a onetime appropriation.
