A bill for an act
relating to public safety; correcting name of federal government entity to United
States Immigration and Customs Enforcement; amending Minnesota Statutes
2007 Supplement, section 629.30, subdivision 2.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2007 Supplement, section 629.30, subdivision 2, is
amended to read:


Subd. 2.

Who may arrest.

An arrest may be made:

(1) by a peace officer under a warrant;

(2) by a peace officer without a warrant;

(3) by an officer in the United States Customs and Border Protection or deleted text begin thedeleted text end United
States deleted text begin Citizenship and Immigration Servicesdeleted text end new text begin Immigration and Customs Enforcement
new text end without a warrant;

(4) by a private person.

A private person shall aid a peace officer in executing a warrant when requested to
do so by the officer.
