A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; requiring notice of certain pesticide applications;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 18B.07, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 18B.07, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Notice of pesticide application. new text end

new text begin At least 24 hours before applying
pesticides to farm land, the farmer or pesticide applicator who intends to apply the
pesticide must notify all employees of the farm and all persons whose residences or land
adjoin the farm land to which the pesticide is to be applied. The notice must include the
kind of pesticide to be applied, the method of application, and the approximate times when
the application is expected to take place.
