A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the children's museum in
Breckenridge.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; THE CHILDREN'S DISCOVERY CENTER, A
PROGRAM OF THE INFINITY CENTER, BRECKENRIDGE.

new text begin $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Children's Discovery Center,
a program of the Infinity Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to design, renovate,
equip, and furnish capital improvements at the museum in the city of Breckenridge. This
appropriation is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota
Statutes, section 16A.642. This is a onetime appropriation.
