  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 461.18, subdivision 2.
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 461.18, 
  1.7   subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 2.  [VENDING MACHINE SALES PROHIBITED.] No person 
  1.9   shall sell tobacco products from vending machines.  This 
  1.10  subdivision does not apply to vending machines in facilities 
  1.11  that cannot be entered at any time by persons younger than 18 
  1.12  years of age or in facilities including on-sale retail 
  1.13  intoxicating liquor establishments to which persons younger than 
  1.14  18 years may be admitted for a lawful purpose including to 
  1.15  purchase and consume a meal.
