relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money to preserve disappearing
indigenous cultures.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; DISAPPEARING INDIGENOUS CULTURES.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the arts and cultural heritage fund to the
Board of Directors of the Minnesota Humanities Center for a grant to establish a facility
that preserves and honors communities whose indigenous cultures are endangered or
disappearing. An applicant for a grant under this section must provide a match of 25 percent.
