BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; WATER IMPROVEMENT PILOT PROJECT.

new text begin $335,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the Board of Water
and Soil Resources to make grants to contract for water quality improvement services,
testing, necessary infrastructure, and training and maintenance:

new text begin (1) $75,000 is for a grant to the city of Fergus Falls to address water quality concerns
at Lake Alice;
new text end

new text begin (2) $150,000 is for a grant to Rice County to address water quality concerns at French
Lake; and
new text end

new text begin (3) $110,000 is for a grant to Blue Earth County to address water quality concerns at
North Eagle Lake.
