  1.1                          A bill for an act

  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 832, 
  1.6   MAHTOMEDI, FUND TRANSFER.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 123B.80, 
  1.8   123B.912, and 475.61, subdivision 4, on June 30, 2000, 
  1.9   independent school district No. 832, Mahtomedi, may permanently 
  1.10  transfer the balance of its debt redemption fund to its capital 
  1.11  account in its general fund without making a levy reduction to 
  1.12  purchase land for a school facility. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
