  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; providing funding for 
  1.3             supplemental expenses of the citizens advisory 
  1.4             committee for the environment and natural resources 
  1.5             trust fund, for an educational television series about 
  1.6             Minnesota's natural landscapes, and for a bridge on 
  1.7             the gateway trail; appropriating money from the 
  1.8             environment and natural resources trust fund. 
  1.9   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.10     Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.11     (a) The appropriations in this section are from the 
  1.12  environment and natural resources trust fund referred to in 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, section 116P.02, subdivision 6.  The 
  1.14  appropriations in this section are subject to the requirements 
  1.15  of Laws 2001, First Special Session chapter 2, section 14, 
  1.16  subdivisions 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17.  Any unencumbered 
  1.17  balance remaining in the appropriations in fiscal year 2002 does 
  1.18  not cancel and is available for fiscal year 2003.  Unless 
  1.19  otherwise provided, the appropriations are available until June 
  1.20  30, 2003, when projects must be completed and final products 
  1.21  delivered. 
  1.22     (b) $62,000 in fiscal year 2002 is appropriated to the 
  1.23  legislative commission on Minnesota resources for supplemental 
  1.24  expenses of the citizens advisory committee for the environment 
  1.25  and natural resources trust fund and expenses related to the 
  1.26  task force required by Laws 2001, chapter 161, section 55. 
  1.27     (c) $160,000 in fiscal year 2002 and $89,000 in fiscal year 
  2.1   2003 are appropriated to the University of Minnesota for the 
  2.2   second biennium of a two-biennia project to complete production 
  2.3   of a multipart, televised film series of the history of 
  2.4   Minnesota's natural landscapes.  This appropriation must be 
  2.5   matched by $200,000 in nonstate money and is available upon 
  2.6   commitment of the match.  This appropriation is available until 
  2.7   June 30, 2004. 
  2.8      (d) $138,000 in fiscal year 2003 is appropriated to the 
  2.9   commissioner of natural resources for a trail bridge over state 
  2.10  highway No. 96 and expanded parking.  This appropriation may be 
  2.11  used to match federal TEA-21 funds.  The availability of this 
  2.12  appropriation is extended to equal the availability of the 
  2.13  federal matching funds. 
  2.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.15     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
