  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Rock County. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; ROCK COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, Rock County may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.10  land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.11  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.12  282. 
  1.13     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.14  attorney general.  
  1.15     (c) The land to be sold is located in Rock County and is 
  1.16  described as:  the North 580.08 feet of the South 2112.08 feet 
  1.17  of the East 875 feet of the SE 1/4 of Section 26, Township 104 
  1.18  North, Range 44 West. 
  1.19     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.20  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  1.21  returned to private ownership. 
  1.22     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.23     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
