  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to drainage maintenance; reestablishing the 
  1.3             Aitkin Drainage and Conservancy District. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [AITKIN DRAINAGE AND CONSERVANCY DISTRICT.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Laws 1987, chapter 239, sections 137 and 
  1.7   140, the Aitkin Drainage and Conservancy District is 
  1.8   reestablished for the purpose of maintaining the Mississippi 
  1.9   River diversion channel. 
  1.10     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.11  following final enactment.
