  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to higher education; requiring the University 
  1.3             of Minnesota college of agriculture to report to the 
  1.4             legislature; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes, chapter 137. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [137.343] [REPORT TO LEGISLATURE.] 
  1.8      The University of Minnesota college of agricultural, food, 
  1.9   and environmental sciences must submit an annual report to the 
  1.10  agricultural policy committees of the senate and the house of 
  1.11  representatives.  The report must include:  a description of the 
  1.12  sources and uses of college funds; policy changes from the 
  1.13  previous report; new agricultural initiatives; and long-range 
  1.14  plans for programs, staff, and facilities.  The report must be 
  1.15  made no later than February 5 of each year and is in addition to 
  1.16  the system plans submitted under section 135A.06.
