relating to taxation; requiring payment of compensation to certain cities;
appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Payment required. new text end

new text begin On July 1, 2010, the commissioner of revenue
must pay to any city that had a population as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section
477A.011, subdivision 3, that was in excess of 1,000 in 2007 and that was less than 1,000
in 2008, an amount equal to the amount by which that city's payments of local government
aid under Minnesota Statutes, section 477A.013, were reduced in calendar years 2008,
2009, and 2010 by unallotment.

under subdivision 1 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of revenue.
