  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; designating the Don M. Beerbower 
  1.3             Memorial Highway in Aitkin county; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 2000, section 161.14, by adding a subdivision.
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 161.14, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 50.  [DON M. BEERBOWER MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.] That 
  1.9   portion of Constitutional Route No. 35, now signed as U.S. Route 
  1.10  No. 169, that is located within Aitkin county is named and 
  1.11  designated the "Don M. Beerbower Memorial Highway."  The 
  1.12  commissioner of transportation shall adopt a suitable marking 
  1.13  design to mark this highway and erect appropriate signs, subject 
  1.14  to section 161.39.
