A bill for an act
relating to education finance; specifying grant awards to education partnership
programs; increasing funding for education partnership programs; appropriating
money; amending Laws 2021, First Special Session chapter 13, article 10, section
1, subdivisions 6, 7.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Laws 2021, First Special Session chapter 13, article 10, section 1, subdivision
6, is amended to read:


Subd. 6.

Tier 1 grants.

(a) For education partnership program Tier 1 sustaining grants
under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.99:

Sec. 3. new text begin TRANSFER OF FEDERAL FUNDS; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $2,250,000 on June 30, 2022, is appropriated from the COVID-19 flexible response
account created within the state fiscal recovery federal fund in the state treasury to the
commissioner of education for the payment of additional aid under sections 1 and 2.

new text begin (b) This funding is in addition to any state aid or other moneys appropriated for this
purpose.
