  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing spending 
  1.3             to acquire and to better public land and buildings and 
  1.4             other public improvements of a capital nature; 
  1.5             authorizing the board of trustees of the Minnesota 
  1.6             state colleges and universities to repair and remodel 
  1.7             facilities at the Anoka-Hennepin Technical College; 
  1.8             requiring continued operation of the college; 
  1.9             authorizing issuance of state bonds; appropriating 
  1.10            money. 
  1.11  BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.12     Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.13     $14,670,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.14  the board of trustees of the Minnesota state colleges and 
  1.15  universities to repair and remodel facilities at the 
  1.16  Anoka-Hennepin Technical College.  Notwithstanding Minnesota 
  1.17  Statutes, section 136F.18, the board of trustees must continue 
  1.18  to operate the Anoka-Hennepin Technical College after using the 
  1.19  appropriation under this section to complete repairs and 
  1.20  remodeling of the Anoka-Hennepin facilities. 
  1.21     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.22     To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the 
  1.23  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance must sell and 
  1.24  issue bonds of the state in an amount up to $14,670,000 in the 
  1.25  manner, on the terms, and with the effect prescribed by 
  1.26  Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the 
  1.27  Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.28     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.1      Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  2.2   enactment.
