  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money for 
  1.3             local initiative grants, parks, and recreation areas. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.6      The appropriations in this section are one-time 
  1.7   appropriations unless otherwise specified.  The appropriations 
  1.8   in clauses (1) and (2) are to provide matching grants of 50 
  1.9   percent of the cost or 50 percent of the nonfederal share of the 
  1.10  cost of the local initiative grants projects: 
  1.11     (1) $275,000 in fiscal year 2000, and $275,000 in fiscal 
  1.12  year 2001, is appropriated from the Minnesota environment and 
  1.13  natural resources trust fund to add to the appropriation in Laws 
  1.14  1999, chapter 231, section 16, subdivision 4, paragraph (a), 
  1.15  local initiatives grants. 
  1.16     (2) $200,000 in fiscal year 2001, is appropriated from the 
  1.17  Minnesota future resources fund to add to the appropriation in 
  1.18  Laws 1999, chapter 231, section 16, subdivision 4, paragraph (a).
  1.19     (3) $500,000 in fiscal year 2001, is appropriated from the 
  1.20  Minnesota future resources fund to add to the appropriation in 
  1.21  Laws 1999, chapter 231, section 16, subdivision 4, paragraph 
  1.22  (i), for state park and recreation area acquisition and 
  1.23  development. 
  1.24     (4) $500,000 in fiscal year 2001, is appropriated from the 
  2.1   Minnesota future resources fund to add to the appropriation in 
  2.2   Laws 1999, chapter 231, section 16, subdivision 4, paragraph 
  2.3   (l), for metropolitan regional parks acquisition rehabilitation 
  2.4   and development. 
  2.5      Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.6      Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
