  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 168.345, 
  1.9   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.10     Subdivision 1.  [INFORMATION BY TELEPHONE.] Information 
  1.11  concerning motor vehicle registrations shall not be furnished on 
  1.12  the telephone to any person except the personnel of law 
  1.13  enforcement agencies and, the personnel of governmental motor 
  1.14  vehicle and registration offices, and the personnel of private 
  1.15  college campus security services.
