A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; authorizing spending to acquire and better public
land and buildings and other improvements of a capital nature; appropriating
money for improvements to the Perpich Center for Arts Education; authorizing
the sale and issuance of state bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

IMPROVEMENTS.

new text begin Appropriation. new text end

new text begin $1,701,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
fund to the commissioner of administration for capital improvements to the Perpich Center
for Arts Education. Of this appropriation:

new text begin (1) $799,000 is to demolish the alpha building;
new text end

new text begin (2) $489,000 is to replace delta dormitory windows;
new text end

new text begin (3) $51,000 is for predesign of a student wellness center;
new text end

new text begin (4) $129,000 is to install a prefabricated storage building;
new text end

new text begin (5) $64,000 is to repair the loading dock;
new text end

new text begin (6) $99,000 is to repair the roadway east of the Gaia building; and
new text end

new text begin (7) $70,000 is for predesign of a performance venue and scene shop.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
bonds of the state in an amount up to $1,701,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
