  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to towns; changing the name of the township 
  1.3             of Lake Edwards. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [NAME CHANGE.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, chapter 379, the name 
  1.7   of the township of Lake Edwards is changed to the township of 
  1.8   Lake Edward. 
  1.9      Sec. 2.  [LOCAL APPROVAL AND FILING REQUIRED.] 
  1.10     Section 1 is effective the day after the town clerk 
  1.11  complies with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 
  1.12  3, following the affected town board's compliance with Minnesota 
  1.13  Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 2.
