A bill for an act
relating to taxation; property; allowing Ramsey County to expand the period for
redeeming certain lands sold to the state at a tax judgment sale.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin RAMSEY COUNTY; EXTENDING REDEMPTION PERIODS OF
PROPERTIES IN TARGETED COMMUNITIES.

new text begin The period of redemption under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 281, shall be three years
for all lands in Ramsey County that are, or previously were, located in a targeted community
as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 469.201, subdivision 10, and that are, or previously
were, sold to the state in a tax judgment sale as a result of delinquency in paying taxes for
taxes payable year 2021 or later.

Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
