relating to state government; limiting the increase in agency managerial
compensation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin LIMIT ON INCREASE IN MANAGERIAL COMPENSATION.

new text begin During the biennium ending June 30, 2017, an employee covered by the managerial
plan in Minnesota Statutes, section 43A.18, subdivision 3, may not be granted a percentage
increase in annual salary that exceeds the lesser of: (1) the percentage increase in Minnesota
median household income, as determined by the American Community Survey compiled
by the United States Bureau of the Census, for the most recent 12-month period for which
data is available; or (2) the percentage increase in the consumer price index, as determined
by the United States Bureau of Economic Analysis, for the most recent 12-month period
for which data is available.
