  1.2             relating to veterans affairs; appropriating money for 
  1.3             a grant to plan a veterans' memorial on the banks of

  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $....... is appropriated to the commissioner of veterans 
  1.8   affairs for fiscal year 2002 for a grant to the Minneapolis park 
  1.9   board to plan a veterans' memorial to be situated on the banks 
  1.10  of the Mississippi river in Minneapolis.  The board must report 
  1.11  on its plan to the senate and house committees with jurisdiction 
  1.12  over veterans affairs by February 1, 2002.
