A bill for an act
relating to higher education; providing funding for the International Renewable
Energy Technology Institute at Minnesota State University, Mankato;
appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; INTERNATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY
TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE OF MINNESOTA (IRETIMN).

new text begin $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2012 to the Board of
Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for a grant for the International
Renewable Energy Technology Institute of Minnesota (IRETIMN). The appropriation
must be used to obtain United States Environmental Protection Agency and International
Standards Organization (ISO) 17025 certification. This is a onetime appropriation.
