  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to highways; designating the speed limit on 
  1.3             Anoka county state-aid highway No. 49 in the city of 
  1.4             Lino Lakes; requiring a reconstructed highway segment 
  1.5             to have a design speed of 45 miles per hour. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [ANOKA COUNTY STATE-AID HIGHWAY NO. 49; SPEED 
  1.8   LIMIT DESIGN SPEED.] 
  1.9      Subdivision 1.  [SPEED LIMIT.] Notwithstanding any other 
  1.10  law, the speed limit on Anoka county state-aid highway No. 49 
  1.11  from Anoka County Road J to Lake Drive in the city of Lino Lakes 
  1.12  is 45 miles per hour, unless a work zone speed limit is 
  1.13  established on that segment under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.14  169.14, subdivision 5d.  The speed limit in this subdivision is 
  1.15  effective on erection of signs designating the limit.  Any 
  1.16  violation of the speed limit prescribed in this subdivision is 
  1.17  unlawful. 
  1.18     Subd. 2.  [DESIGN SPEED.] Notwithstanding any other law, if 
  1.19  Anoka county reconstructs that portion of county state-aid 
  1.20  highway No. 49 from Anoka County Road J to Lake Drive in the 
  1.21  city of Lino Lakes, the design speed of the reconstructed 
  1.22  portion must be 45 miles per hour.
