  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to economic development; providing for 
  1.3             reimbursement of losses incurred by the city of 
  1.4             Pipestone; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PIPESTONE AQUATIC CENTER; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $436,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of children, families, and learning for a grant to 
  1.9   the city of Pipestone to reimburse the city for losses suffered 
  1.10  in litigation with a contractor engaged by the city to design a 
  1.11  municipal aquatic center.  This appropriation is intended to 
  1.12  cover the judgment rendered against the city as well as attorney 
  1.13  fees incurred by the city in defense of the action by the 
  1.14  contractor.
