1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to capital improvements; authorizing spending 1.3 to construct Edinburgh Trail pedestrian bridge in 1.4 Brooklyn Park; authorizing issuance of bonds; 1.5 appropriating money. 1.6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.7 Section 1. [APPROPRIATION.] 1.8 $550,000 is appropriated from the transportation fund to 1.9 the commissioner of transportation to design and construct a 1.10 bicycle and pedestrian bridge over marked trunk highway No. 252 1.11 at or near its intersection with 85th avenue north in the city 1.12 of Brooklyn Park. 1.13 Sec. 2. [BOND SALE.] 1.14 To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the 1.15 transportation fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 1.16 the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 1.17 amount up to $550,000 in the manner, on the terms, and with the 1.18 effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 1.19 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 1.20 4 to 7. The proceeds of the bonds, except accrued interest and 1.21 any premium received on the sale of the bonds, must be credited 1.22 to a bond proceeds account in the state transportation fund. 1.23 Sec. 3. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 1.24 Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 1.25 enactment.
