  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; establishing a 
  1.3             facilities management account; authorizing 
  1.4             interdepartmental billing for certain services; 
  1.5             appropriating money; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.6             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 84. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [84.0857] [FACILITIES MANAGEMENT ACCOUNT.] 
  1.9      The commissioner of natural resources may bill 
  1.10  organizational units within the Department of Natural Resources 
  1.11  for the costs of providing them with building and infrastructure 
  1.12  facilities.  Costs billed may include modifications and 
  1.13  adaptations to allow for appropriate building occupancy, 
  1.14  building code compliance, insurance, utility services, 
  1.15  maintenance, repair, and other direct costs as determined by the 
  1.16  commissioner.  Receipts shall be credited to a special account 
  1.17  in the state treasury and are appropriated to the commissioner 
  1.18  to pay the costs for which the billings were made.
